About Maria Litichevska

With her extensive education in ceramics and mastery of detail, Maria's art is notable for its intricate and evocative designs. The delicately crafted details and patterns in her work are inspired by the fairytales that sparked her childhood imagination and the Ukrainian culture that feeds her spirit.

Maria Litichevska is a Ukrainian artist born November 14, 1983, in Kyiv. An artist from birth, her interest in sculpture began as a student at Kyiv Art School No. 8 in 1995. Maria pursued this passion and graduated from the Kyiv Industrial College, Faculty of Artistic Ceramics, in 2002. Her education continued at the Kyiv National Academy of Applied Arts and Design, Faculty of Artistic Ceramics, from which she graduated in 2008.

In 2022, Maria Litichevska was forced to flee her home country as the conflict in Ukraine escalated. Despite the challenges of leaving behind family, friends, and a successful artistic career, Maria persevered and continued to create stunning works of art. She eventually found a new home in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she has continued to express her vision and personality through her art.

With her arrival in the Bay Area, Maria's work quickly caught the attention of local art enthusiasts. She has exhibited her pieces in regional galleries, gaining recognition for her mesmerizing, sometimes whimsical style. Her work has been praised for its intricate designs and the way it embodies her Ukrainian heritage.
